Emblem and Motto:

The emblem of the UDC is a cotton boll superimposed on a five-pointed star . At the tips of the points are the words of the motto: LOVE, LIVE, PRAY, THINK, DARE

How to Become a Member:

Women eligible for active membership must be no less than 16 years of age, and must be blood descendants, lineal or collateral, of men and women who served honorably in the Army, Navy or Civil Service of the Confederate States of America, or who gave Material Aid to the Cause. Also eligible are those women who are lineal or collateral blood descendants of members or former members of UDC. Membership is by invitation by a chapter. Please notify us if you are interested in knowing more about membership in the UDC.
